A treasure of Endemic Species Bird Watching at Shinharaja (2N/3D)

A World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Sinnharaja national park has immense numbers of species within the landscape and designated as a Biosphere Reserve. Entire forest is surrounded by different species like elephants, leopards etc. including other flora and fauna which itself makes its diverse. It is so dense that wildlife is not as easily seen like other national parks. Purple-faced Langur.is the most common mammals are seen here. Its very satisfying to see sometimes that different species of birds moves in feeding flocks along with led by Greater Racket-tailed Drongo and other species. In this National Park only most of the Srilanka’s birds species fare found, including elusive Red-faced Malkoha, Green-billed Coucal and Sri Lanka Blue Magpie. Various other species of reptile, amphibians, invertebrates are also seen like Green pit viper and Hump-nosed vipers, tree frogs, endemic Common Birdwing butterfly and the inevitable leeches etc.

Day 1: Arrival at Colombo- Shinharaja (03:30 hrs & 160 Kms approx)

Upon arrival, you will meet and greeted by our representative and drive down directly to Shinharaja, a forest area lying at south western belt of Sri Lanka and check-in to hotel. Enroute you shall witness the beautiful views of nature and a forest which makes you realised that how exciting and adventurous your tour would be. After taking a short refreshment and lunch at hotel, we shall move directly to spot various breath taking species of birds along with your exclusive bird spotter and spend time to capture the moment in the camera. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Shinharaja

In the early morning enjoy you lavish breakfast and enjoy the wildlife tour of Shinharaja National Park whole day. Here we can spot different species like elephants, leopards, Purple-faced Langur various other natural habitat of park. Shinharaja National Park is Srilanks’s most diverse park and knpwn to be the one of the best premise for nature and wildlife lovers and photographers. We shall witness various species of birds like Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Red-faced Malkoha, Green-billed Coucal and Sri Lanka Blue Magpie, Green pit viper and Hump-nosed vipers, tree frogs, endemic Common Birdwing butterfly and the inevitable leeches and capture them in camera with different view and eye catchy angles. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Shinharaja to Colombo Departure (03:30 hrs & 160 Kms approx)

We want your trip to become more remarkable and we want you to understand the wildlife and nature more closely, so we shall again take a tour of Shinharaja National Park in the morning and witness various natural habitats and species of birds. Post safari, we will return to hotel for breakfast, and end your journey with immense number of wonderful memories and proceed to Colombo for your onward destination.
