Day 1: Arrival at Fukouka
Upon arrival at Kansai Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and start a guided sightseeing of FUKUOKA TOWER, claimed to be the tallest seaside tower in Japan. Right after we will have a short photo stop at SEASIDE MOMOCHI, modern waterfront located on reclaimed land along Hakata Bay with a wide variety of shopping and dining option. Later we will spend some time in shopping at DON QUIJOTE; Japan’s famous discount chain store and later drive down to hotel and check in. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Fukouka.
Day 2: Fukouka – Nagasaki
In the morning post enjoying your breakfast we will drive down to Nagasaki, enroute we will visit HUIS TEN BOSCH, a theme park in Nagasaki Prefecture which recreates a Dutch town. It is named after one of the residences of the Dutch Royal Family. The spacious resort is infused with a European atmosphere with its picturesque canals; iconic windmills beautiful garden and architecture along with museums, theatres, amusement rides and various shops and restaurants. Later we shall visit NAGASAKI PEACE PARK AND ATOMIC BOMB MUSEUM, commemorating the atomic bombing of the city on August 9, 1945 during World War II. Thereafter, Drive down to Nagasaki and witness 26 MARTYRS MUSEUM AND MONUMENT, the museum for the twenty six Christians who were crucified in 1597 in Nagasaki for practicing Christianity when the religion had been banned. Post sightseeing we will be transferred directly to hotel. Overnight stay in Nagasaki.
Day 3: Nagasaki – Saga
After breakfast we will depart from hotel and start a day with a guided tour of GLOVER GARDEN built for Thomas Blake Glover, a Scottish merchant who contributed to the modernization of Japan in shipbuilding, coal mining, and other fields. In it stands the Glover Residence, the oldest Western style house surviving in Japan and Nagasaki’s foremost tourist attraction. Later, visit OURA CATHEDRAL, site of the Martyrdom of the 26 saints in Japan. Post that we will drive down to Saga area and visit YUTOKU INARI SHRINE, considered one of Japan’s top three shrines dedicated to Inari. We will also witness beautiful MIFUNEYAMA RAKUEN, called as paradise of Japanis a flower-laden site spread out over 500,000 square meters at the base of Mt. Mifune in Takeo City. Overnight stay at Saga.
Day 4: Saga – Fukouka
Post check-out we will start our tour by visiting YOSHINOGARI HISTORICAL PARK, an outstanding archaeological site in Saga Prefecture and it is the largest and most important Yayoi Period site in Japan, and the best place to learn about this era of Japanese history. Later we will drive down to Oita City and visit KUNCHO SAKE BREWERY. Thereafter, spend some free time and enjoy shopping at TOSU PREMIUM OUTLET. Post sightseeing we will be transferred to hotel and enjoy free time understanding more about local people and culture. Overnight stay in Fukouka.
Day 5: Fukouka Departure
On the last day of our tour we shall visit DAZAIFU TENMANGU SHRINE, a shrine built over the grave of Michizane Sugawara venerated by the Japanese throughout the country as “ Tenman-Tenjin” or “the defied spirit of Michizane”; also known as the God of literature and calligraphy. Enjoy free time at HAKATA CANAL CITY. Post sightseeing we will drive to airport for your onward journey.
